
Week Four: Taking Flight
This week we have really noticed a transformation in our campers. Shy little caterpillars who started off with us week one have unfurled their wings and taken to the sky. Week Three: Creating and Exploring
It's the middle of our summer together already- the weeks are flying by. The kids have been learning their songs for the camp play, and figuring out what roles they might like to play. As I walk through the campus, it's so lovely to hear kids' voices as they learn to sing in harmony, and their laughter as they play in the sandbox. The mood here is joyful and relaxed. Week Two: Finding our Groove
This week was hot and steamy, but the kids kept cool in the pool and running around our shaded woods. The kids who were new last week have quickly settled in and seem relaxed and happy already. It's so heartwarming to see even the littlest campers walk confidently up the stone steps and into their classrooms each morning. As a community, we are all finding our groove. Week One: Friendships that Last
Camp was off to a great start this week. Many returning campers were happy to reunite with old friends. Our new campers quickly made connections too, and families made plans for play dates over ice pops at pickup time. One thing I've noticed over my years at camp (both as a leader and a parent) is that the kids seem to bond with each other more easily and quickly than in other environments.
